Fae of Cascadia is an interactive app (think Pokemon Go, or Ingress) that allows players to rescue cryptids that you find out in the real world by scanning your phone around at designated map locations. Eventually you will be able to plant gardens, place objects and artists can even design cryptids for the game!

Members of The Hedge LARP get the added bonus of earning dross (XP) and other goodies to help you rank up, no matter where you live.

The Hedge is a home-brew boffer LARP that we proudly create and host, with our store serving as its heart and home base. Whether it's an event we produce ourselves or one we travel to as the Fairy Court, you’ll always find the spirit of The Hedge LARP alive and woven into the experience.

SETTING:

The Long Winter cast a deep slumber over the world, burying magic beneath frost and silence. Enchanted creatures faded into dreams, many forgetting their true nature… some never to awaken again.

But nature is relentless. The Spring Thaw has begun.

Arcane energies stir once more. Forgotten beasts, ancient spirits, and newborn wonders rise with the thawing earth. Magic surges back into the veins of the world.

The world is waking.

IN FOLKLORE

“The hedge” is a familiar allegory for a sort of barrier that separates the mundane world from a magical, enchanted realm. Many strange and amazing beings live within it, and beyond the hedge countless worlds both of beauty and of horror are there to be explored.

It is often described as a huge, unsurpassable briar of gnarly thorns and vines and the effort to cross this barrier can be understood as symbolic of the difficult journey – be it spiritual, physical or mental, that it can be to leave behind the old world one once knew, and embark into a realm filled with a magic of spirit and mind, where dreams come true and wishes are fulfilled, impossible is possible, and people are free to embrace their inner selves, appearing in their true forms of their own choosing, free from the confines of mundanity.

We have chosen to keep this folklore alive by using the allegory of the The Hedge as our way to communicate stepping out of your everyday shoes, and into that Enchanted you that, together with others, invokes of magic of creating a tapestry of stories and experiences with one another.
